Nasya
Nasya means herbal medicine to the nose. In the ancient text 20 or more methods are described in detail. They can include sniffing or smoking or blowing powdered herbs into the nose. There are times when the pungent juice of an herb is used. Many of these methods have cautions that go with them. We are careful to use the right amount of herb, decocted in an appropriate oil to make the experience pleasurable as well as incredibly therapeutic.
The nasal passages are a perfect channel to the brain so that herbs for peace, focus and calm can be introduced. We can also clear blocks that cause physical, mental and spiritual resistance to progress.
